Repairs Together with the church itself, we have also taken over the obligation to implement structural reinforcements that would prevent the building from collapsing. Based on a rescue project, we have first repaired the roof frame, and reinforced the nave and tower walls. Also, we have re-roofed the main nave and all annexes. The lower tower located over the presbytery has been reconstructed, the foundations have been reinforced by concrete injections, and the whole building has been drained and dried.
In the following stages, internal and external walls will be repaired, windows replaced, and the whole church will be newly furnished with plaster coating. The very last stage of the reconstruction program includes the establishment of the memorial as well as repairs of the church’s equipment.
